 | Miso Feline Cough Miso started "huffing" a few weeks ago. The episodes would last a few seconds. It progressed to a 'wet' cough that you see here. Most of the time though she's perfectly normal. Vet prescribed antibiotics first, then an x-ray showed that it wasn't asthma, but possibly lung cancer which turned out negative. Final diagnosis is a positive heartworm test. Steroids help the cough, and she may or may not be able to get rid of the parasites naturally. Moral: Get a coughing cat diagnosed and be thorough. |
